Apex Verandas is a family-run company that designs, supplies and fits aluminium verandas, glass rooms, pergolas and carports for homes and businesses across Northern Ireland and Ireland. Owned and run by the McIlhatton family, we have taken more than 1,275 orders and opened five showrooms: Ballymoney, Dublin, Cork, Galway and Carlow. Apex Verandas Ltd is registered in Northern Ireland, company number NI691461.
What we fit
- Aluminium verandas with a glass or polycarbonate roof
- Glass rooms: a veranda closed in with frameless glass sliding doors
- Louvred and retractable roof pergolas
- Glass sliding doors, for a new veranda or one you already have
- Carports, and canopies and covered seating for businesses
Everything we fit is powder-coated aluminium from one European system, so an open veranda can be closed in as a glass room later.
How we work
- We visit and measure for free.
- You get a fixed written quote, with no obligation.
- Sizes and specification go on a written order form, and a deposit is paid on order.
- Our own fitting team does the work, usually 6 to 8 weeks after you order: about a day for an open veranda, two to four days for a glass room.
- The balance is paid when the unit arrives on site.
Frames are cut, mitred and prepared in our Ballymoney workshop. If you are not sure whether you need planning permission, check with your council before you order.
Our guarantee, in writing
- Up to 15 years on polycarbonate roof panels, depending on the model
- 5 years on the aluminium frame and the powder-coated finish
- 2 years on our workmanship, and on moving parts, motors and lighting
Installation faults are put right free of charge, and the remaining guarantee passes to the new owner if you sell the house.
What customers say
We are rated 4.9 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 146 reviews (October 2026). Customers most often mention the fitters, the finish and how tidy the site was left.
As seen on RTÉ’s DIY SOS
